Allow me to introduce myself. I am an Emmy award-winning Programmer, Producer, and Podcast Host who spent a decade at the National Football League creating the NFL playing schedule, working with its member clubs and rights holders on administrative issues, and launching the NFL Network as head of Programming in 2004. I developed and co-Executive Produced the Emmy Award winning anthology series, America's Game with NFL Films, created a 12-month programming calendar by convincing the NFL's competition committee to let the Network broadcast the NFL Scouting Combine, acquired the Senior Bowl, and made the NFL Draft a centerpiece.

This big event strategy went hand in hand with my other responsibilities, which included taking over for the League as Executive in Charge of the Kickoff and Super Bowl Halftime shows following the infamous Janet Jackson incident. In this capacity I had oversight on behalf of the League in partnership with CBS, Fox and NBC for shows including; Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones, all of which exceeded 100 million viewers worldwide. I was also responsible for U2 and Green Day playing together at the reopening of the New Orleans Superdome on ESPN, which at the time was the highest rated cable program in history. Following that I was given the assignment of taking the 75th NFL Draft to primetime and created the concept for NFL Honors.

From 2010 to 2013 I accepted the role of Executive Vice President of Content for the NHL. Overseeing such projects for the League as the Winter Classic and 24/7 for HBO as well as all of the Leagues content platforms, NHL Network, NHL.com, NHL mobile.

After thirteen years working as an executive for sports leagues, I decided to leave the NHL to return to my passion for hands-on production. I created Big Monkey Entertainment to pursue a wider variety of interests and passions. My first client was….the NHL. I consulted as well as served as Executive Producer for the NHL’s Winter Classic and Stadium Series. From there I served as the Executive Producer for two music based programs; PBS Front and Center and a CBS Primetime Special: The Greatest Super Bowl Halftime Shows. In the summer of 2015 I was hired as the Senior Adviser to Gasprom Media in Moscow to program and develop the 24 hour sports broadcast network and brand Match TV for the Russian Federation. I stayed on from the early planning stages through the network’s launch in November and consulted until 2016 when the network was fully up and running.

I consulted for Activison/Blizzard to design Broadcast Strategy and Design for their esports initiatives and currently I’m developing and shopping several news and sports related projects.

I serve on the Advisory Council of Sustain Music and Nature creating partnerships between the music industry and environmental organizations and am currently an Adjunct Professor at Iona College where I have created a course on the Business of Sports Content. I also have taught Sports Communications in Boston at Emerson College. Partnering with the Emerson Los Angeles and VMA program, I created an annual hands on program with the Academy Awards. I have discovered working with millennials to be incredibly rewarding, and as a teacher I have become a student of their media consumption habits.

Prior to the NFL I spent a decade at ABC Sports as a producer on such events as the Super Bowl, the World Cup and ABC's Wide World of Sports. My career includes stints at MTV, ESPN, Martin Scorsese Productions and I was an NBC Page.

My podcast is called Out of Our League. Check it out.
